Tuesday beckons my Directors Of The Bored – let’s make the most of it, whether you’re a home-schooler praying for the Summer Holidays or a Primark shopper bracing yourself for the onset of the world’s longest queue.
In the moments you find to relax, take a read of today’s blog, and discover some useful bits and laughs to keep you going through the day.
The Useful
I’m placing this story here in The Useful. Only YOU can decide how to use the information I provide. There’s an article today which publishes the results of a study of couples and has concluded that nitpicking can KILL.

Constant criticism of your partner has the ability to bump them off earlier than they should.
It’s like that old joke coming true. “Why do husbands generally die before their wives? Because they want to.”
If you’ve found yourself treating Lockdown as though it were one giant break in Bake Off where you’ve been raiding the cupboards and munching relentlessly, causing yourself to worry even more about putting on weight, and looking and feeling terrible before you leave for work again at some point…

HERE’S the expert who believes they have the answer.

Now that I’ve shared that advice and know you can cut back and treat ourself only occasionally, I don’t feel bad about passing on the news regarding four and a half litre tubs of Ben And Jerry’s for £3.50.

And here’s a cool thing if you love watching documentaries about animals in the wild. This year might not be the one for the safari after all (given 2020 so far, chances are you’d get eaten by the cast of any safari), but some switched on people there are doing the next best thing and live streaming on location. Here’s where you can watch the best safari action daily.

Things That Make You Go Awwwwww
Things We’ve Discovered In Lockdown
My daughter is going to be overjoyed when I specifically spare her from the news that climate change is causing a baby boom in spiders.

Gracie’s 10 and absolutely hates creepy crawlies. The other night she came downstairs shaking because she saw a caterpillar in her room. I went up to find it, but the search was fruitless. Ended up telling her most caterpillars die in poverty because they can’t afford the shoe bill. She seemed calmer after that.
It’s time for The Funnies
Today’s News In Brief
Let’s start with an article from today’s press which has accumulated a series of epic ‘Bad Day’ photos from around the planet.

Let’s end with some music. I’ve never seen Hamilton, but, I have picked up on the fact there’s a performance of it screening on Disney+ this Friday (July 3rd), which I’ll be glued to. So I dug this performance out, and in so doing, realised how much I miss the simple gift of resting easy in the knowledge an articulate, reasonable human being is the leader of the western world.
Thanks for reading.
