Greetings Directors Of The Bored,
How goes it?
Well, I hope.
And better than the guy I’m going to tell you about first today. This little item doesn’t really fit into anything we do here on the blog, BUT, it does give a stunningly accurate reflection of everyday life in small, rural, Scottish communities. In this example, we’re talking about the area where the Lonach Gathering (made famous by Billy Connolly and friends) is held every year.

The Useful
This is lovely. I wonder if it’s a workable model for other homes with equally large grounds. Guaranteed the queues will be shorter than those for McDonalds and KFC.
World Of The Weird
When behaviour turns a little odd during Lockdown, that story will usually find its way here. Today’s first example – dessert burger buns are the latest Lockdown thing. You’ve been able to buy this type of item in some restaurants and cafes for a few years, but since Lockdown where everyone’s been baking banana bread and sourdough bread at home, this has become the latest trend, and I’m not prepared to knock it until I’ve actually tried some.

Next, the Llamas delivering your shopping.

Matt, who owns a Llama trekking company with 10 Llamas in a remote area of Wales, says, “This all started as we were struggling to get food deliveries down to the valley so we had to make the journey to the shop ourselves. We are some of the youngest residents around here, so we began asking the older people if they wanted anything brought back and it just sort of spiralled from there.
“It’s a very rural area so many of the roads are more or less dirt tracks which means it’s sometimes not ideal for cars to go on, but when you have a herd of Llamas in the field outside it’s really not an issue.
“We decided to pack the shopping on their backs and take them round to people’s houses a couple of time a week to drop off the food.
“It’s really a win win for us because it helps keep the animals fit, and also makes sure people nearby have the supplies they need, especially if they are in self-isolation.”
So if a bloke’s waving from the end of your path as a llama arrives at your door with supplies, I’m guessing it’s them.
A man, a llama, ding-dong.
Wasn’t that a song by Showaddywaddy?
Things That Make You Go Awwwwww

Things We’ve Discovered In Lockdown
Tom Cruise is making a movie in space.
You’ve got to give it to him, if there’s a gimmick to be had, an angle to exploit, he’ll find it.

Tom’s making the film with long-time friend and colleague, Doug Liman, who’s currently writing the script.
Tom says this will be the fulfilment of a life-long dream, allowing him to hover at a preferred chosen height of six feet, four inches, uninterrupted.
Obviously, it’s a day for unexpected news from the little people because Kylie Minogue has unveiled her own wine.

So far it’s only been spotted in Tesco in the UK where it sold out very quickly, but keep an eye out.
Also, please alert me to any competition Kylie might conduct where the prize is a night on the tiles with her to sample the wine. Naturally, I’d be interested in the outcome of that, because as you know, I’m a fully trained sommelier.
And, as if by magic, a story appears which complements the previous one perfectly. (You see, that’s my sommelier training shining through).
Amazon has bought, and is tinkering about with the idea of self-driving cars you can summon with an app. Like I say, ideal after a night on the Rose with Kylie.

It’s time for The Funnies and today’s News In Brief.

Let’s finish on some music.
He’s at it again.
Thanks for reading.
Stay safe x
