Directors Of The Bored, Good Morning.
I hope you had a good Bank Holiday Weekend, and are relaxed, refreshed and raring to go and get a fresh pair of jammies to change into, ready for another week!
There are some up-sides to being locked away at home.
I decided not to blog on the weekend and enjoy some time relaxing instead, but we’re back at it today. Let’s dive in.
The Useful
Seeing as how everyone appears to be cooking or baking their way through Lockdown, this may well prove to be the hit of the entire period.

It’s The ‘Friends’ Official Cookbook, and it’s coming to Amazon from September. Featuring classic show favourites like Monica’s Friendsgiving Feast, Rachel’s Trifle, Just for Joey Fries, Chandler’s “Milk You Can Chew,” Phoebe’s Grandmother’s Cookies, and of course, The Moist Maker.
I can’t actually believe they’re going to recommend making Rachel’s trifle?!
Next, this is being viewed by other parents as genius. A Mum and Dad have managed to buy an old vending machine for 100 quid and have stocked it with sweet and crisps at standard retail prices. They’ve told their kids they can earn money to buy snacks by undertaking chores, or, if they’re really hungry, they can have a healthy snack for free at any time.

I don’t know about you, but if money’s being pinched through this time, this may come in handy. How to eat 36 healthy meals for 20 quid. They were all made from this lot.

‘I made spaghetti bolognese six times, which is 332 calories per portion, chili and rice six times, which is 573 calories per portion, homemade pizza six times, which is 553 calories per pizza and sausage and mash six times, which is 436 calories per portion.’
They had bananas for snacks.
I was sitting there looking at the picture desperately trying to figure it out, and came up with Veggie Spag Bol and/or Chilli, Baked Potatoes and….Mashed Potatoes and…..Boiled Potatoes and….I haven’t included chips because there’s no oil visible, and equally, bangers and mash – where are the sausages in that picture?! Oh look, it’s the packet on the left. Well, we didn’t know that. And as for healthy? Bangers and Mash? What’s she using for a pizza base? Was she making it fresh? I feel cheated slightly. On further inspection, that might be a packet of mince up the top left as well, between the Passata and bananas.

That’s NOT a pizza. It’s cheese on toast!
I don’t know why in my head this became an episode of Ready Steady Cook, but it did. Maybe it’s a sign of Lockdown fatigue, I’m so used to playing some type of game every night.
Still, if you’re trying to save a bit of cash – handy for a wee bit.
Lastly for today in The Useful, one for the Take That fans. Robbie’s back for a one-off gig from their homes, this Friday.
World Of The Weird
This is what happens when you miss your job as a Doorman, and you try working from home.

Next, as South Korea continues relaxing its Lockdown and Social Distancing, this is becoming the new normal.

It’s a robot that takes orders, then makes and delivers drinks to tables in coffee shops. A bit like last week when we told you about the farmers in New Zealand using robot dogs to round up their flocks, this is the beginning of every sci-fi …the machines will turn…horror movie ever made.
Things That Make You Go Awwwwww
Things We’ve Discovered In Lockdown
These guys should be forging passports.
Question: Have you ever seen a long-tailed tit?
I’ll help you out a bit. You’d probably remember it because they look like flying cotton balls. Also, they live predominantly in Japan where the local people are obsessed with them.

It’s time for The Funnies
Today’s News In Brief

Oh, and finally, what I’ve lovingly nicknamed my Janey Godley Board, but, which in real terms means, ‘watch out, some filthy language coming up’.

Let’s end with some music.
Our Gary’s back, this time with Roachford.
Thanks for reading.
