Morning!
How are you?
It’s a question we should never stop asking, both of other people, but also ourselves, especially in a very strange time where we’re separated from our loved ones, and literally restricted in terms of how close we can be to each other.
We’ve seen or heard warnings that now is a moment in history where mental well-being has to be monitored and carefully maintained as we’re all more susceptible, and in Mental Health Week I thought I’d give you a little reminder to take care of yourself, have a wee internal audit to make sure you feel OK, and if you think maybe you could use some help, ask for it. It’s out there. It always has been and always will. You only have to ask, but if you don’t know who, leave me a message in our contact section (in complete confidence) and I’ll point you in the right direction.
A lot of people are ashamed to feel off-kilter, broken or damaged in some way. I know because I’ve lived it. I also know how daft I was to think it in the first place. None of it was my fault. There was an enemy within.
I live with mental health issues. I am not ashamed. I take care of it.
OK, serious part done. On with the show.
If this is the very first time you’ve come across our blog, (as we embark upon the 52nd post- where have you been?!), our aim is to make laughs move around the globe quicker and for longer than Coronavirus.
We take the funniest stuff we see every day online, and post it here for you to enjoy.
As always, the out and out funnies are towards the end of each post (scroll now if you like), but there’s a load of other cool things before it….like…
People Are Amazing
Every day, things like this are happening right now, where an idea pops into the head of someone, and they think, if I did this, it might make life better for that person. It drives them on. It empowers them, and before long that thought becomes reality. That is the power of kindness in people.
When Jorja from Nebraska heard old folks in her local care home were struggling in isolation she decided to do something about it, and took along her pony, Peanut, to cheer them up.

The Useful
This, clearly, is one of the best inventions ever, never mind Lockdown.

If your family was due to be headed on a Disney holiday of a lifetime that you’ve had to postpone, this will come as little consolation. If, however, you’ve visited before it might make a decent little keepsake, and for everyone else, hopefully a board game that’ll wile away a few Lockdown hours. It’s Monopoly, The Walt Disney Theme Park Edition.

You play as Walt, buying up the various attractions. Careful though, you don’t want to land up not being allowed to pass Go and not collect your 200 dollars. You’ll be frozen out of the game, and in Walt Disney themed Monopoly, that could actually involve cryogenics.
Now, if you’re that person determined to come out of Lockdown a more accomplished home cook, and a sleeker, leaner version of your old self, you’re probably slowly finding out the two are rarely compatible.
This, however, could be one of those times we proclaim a 2fer.
Marmite Roast Potatoes are reportedly the shizzle and taste the absolute bomb, (not so much like marmite but like the crunchiest of roasties) WITHOUT all the traditional fat and calories.
You’re welcome.
World Of The Weird
And from Marmite Roast Potatoes we move to this.
You know I’ve always said in a time like this, it’s obvious (certainly to me) creatives gotta create. For the most part, that’s led to fantastic, worthy, fabulous things, some of which we’ve featured. Other times it’s this.

If I was making tea, and an hour after disappearing into the kitchen, reappeared with nothing made and this to show for it, I’d die a short time later from my peeler injuries.
Does this require any explanation for why it’s here, in this section?
And finally for today, when everything reopens, I think we’ve found the new nail trend.

Today’s News In Brief

Let’s play out with some music. This just about qualifies in terms of effort.
Thanks for reading.
