Monday April 13th #LaughterSpreadsFaster

Good Morning, Directors Of The Bored!

Firstly, for those who addressed it yesterday, you are correct there was no blog for Easter Sunday.

God may have arisen, but regrettably I did not.

I had a lie-in, then waited for the Easter Bunny’s email. Obviously, with social distancing things had to be a little different this year. No doubt it was exactly the same in your house. Anyway, we got the job done remotely.

Then, it was on to Easter Roast Dinner. I’m not one to brag, but look at these bad boys.

Then I proceeded to fall asleep on the couch during family film night. Typical Dad.

So that was Easter Sunday. Hope you had a good time too, or at least, as good a time as possible.

Today though, normal service resumes. This blog has been designed to curate all the laughs online in the last 24 hours, in one place, to give you a giggle when you might otherwise be feeling a wee bit low.

Most of that stuff is at the bottom of the blog. Feel free to scroll now, but if you do, know this, you’ll be missing “The Useful”, “World Of The Weird” and “People Are Amazing.”

First of all, you know all that money you’re saving not having to buy fuel? I suggest you use it to invest in one of these, which has the added bonus of keeping you off the road from wasting any more fuel. Two birds. One stone. Bosh.

As Lockdown rolls into Week 4 or Year 12 or wherever we are, the behaviour of animals and humans alike is becoming increasingly odd. Here, we celebrate that behaviour in World Of The Weird.

Next, here’s Toyah with a timely reminder if you’re going to film a Tok Tok, best to get it out of the road before you open the third bottle.

I’m not even sure if that guy’s her husband or she just invited him in when he delivered her shopping.

Speaking of Tik Tok, even animals are getting involved.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed this behaviour or not, but there seems to be an increasing trend for those with toilet roll to mock those who don’t.

This is even worse.

And finally, odd times throw up odd partnerships. You don’t need to tell this Mummy Zebra in Kenya. She’s just given birth to a Zonkey.

In “People Are Amazing” we look at those going above and beyond….travelling the extra mile during this time.

With a round up of that behaviour from the last week or so, here’s the excellent John Krasinski with SGN. If you’ve never seen it, you’ll get the idea. It’s brilliant. Watch.

Time for the funnies.

The minute lockdown’s over….

Today’s News In Brief

We always like to play out with some music. Today is a Daddy Daughter special. Coming up, Curt Smith from Tears For Fears playing one of his own songs with daughter Diva, and Rod Stewart with his daughter Ruby. I once read Rod takes a ruler with him when he gets a haircut, and on the ruler is a mark which shows the length beyond which his hair must not pass. When I saw that first I thought, surely not, his hair looks like he just tripped the mains, but wait and see how quickly the subject comes up in this Facebook Live.

Thanks for reading

Stay safe x

I present radio shows for Global on Smooth Radio, run an audio media company - Mellis Media - and I also work for Aberdeen Football Club and write for a number of local media outlets. But that's work. My life and passions revolve around my wife, Lynne, and our kids, Joshua and Gracie. I’m a dog father to Ernie.
