Directors Of The Bored, a happy weekend to you.
I think it’s important we try to keep some sense of normality in this new, temporary lifestyle, so appreciating this is in fact the weekend is something I’m consciously attempting to do.
In practice, that actually means I’m in different jammies, and typing this in bed and not at the dining table, but I’m enjoying the relaxation of it all the same. Naturally, that does also throw up the possibility mea I’m more prone to miskates ad typng culd ond up slightly wonky I might mess up the words a bit from this reclined position.
Anyway, you know the drill, and being the weekend, we’ve sourced loads of good stuff.
Please enjoy, feel free to share, and even take part! Our mission is to make laughs spread faster and for longer than Coronavirus, and as part of that we’d love for you to record something funny on your phone and send it over, whether it’s you telling a joke or funny story, or just something you’ve happened to catch while filming in a “You’ve Been Framed” fashion, but in no way am I promising to pay out 250 quid if your video’s featured in the blog!
Just so we’re clear.
Coming up today, some wonderful footage from around Scotland in “People Are Amazing”, some absolute belters of funny videos from ‘This Morning’, Elaine C. Smith, and Andrew Cotter, plus, music to finish that ISN’T by Gary Barlow!
First up, this….

I spotted this too – ‘How Scotland is dealing with Coronavirus.’ When it gets to the description of Ballachulish’s reaction to the outbreak, I was hugely impressed at their ingenuity and spirit of community. It came across a bit like Whisky Galore!
I absolutely love that report. The Hand Sanitiser Station that was created in under 6 hours by local welders and placed outside the front door of the local Co-op “whether they want it or not”, and the fact everybody has the ability to heat their homes, because of the trees felled being chopped for firewood, but it was unclear as to whether the Forestry Commission knew anything about it or not!
And now, time for the funnies. Sports Commentator Andrew Cotter is clearly a little anxious his skills may go rusty with this extended, enforced lay-off. This tends to suggest otherwise.
I’ve mentioned in previous blogs how Josh Gad and David Walliams are reading online daily to entertain kids. Now Elaine C Smith’s getting involved too.
And finally, Home Schooling’s first “Favourite Subject Of The Week” is Art.
And now here’s today’s “News In Brief”

We always like to finish on a song, perhaps something a little different if we can. Today’s item isn’t new, but it is certainly different, by The Piano Guys.
And that’s it for today. Thanks for taking a look. Please feel free to subscribe, and/or share to help us prove #LaughterSpreadsFaster
