Tuesday 24th March #LaughterSpreadsFaster

Morning, Directors Of The Bored,

Let me get this right – only out for exercise once per day, no more than a group of 2, and maintaining that social distance. Well, that’s even the open air aerobics down by the Duthie Park toilets ruled out now too. Never mind.

Welcome to my blog – coming up today, a HEAP of useful stuff for you (and the kids if you’ve got any), that’ll make the hours, days, weeks and possibly mon easier to work through.

Also, the funniest perils of working from home, ‘your week can’t possibly be going worse than mine’… and the best comedy bits online today as we navigate our way through the Coronavirus period.

First, Disney Plus UK could NOT have planned a better launchpad for their home streaming service than what they’ve got, right now, today.

Talk about a captive audience.

Well done Mickey. Seems to have worked.

If you’ve bought in, today it starts paying off, and before the week is out you’ll be talking about Baby Yoda.

Coincidentally, that’s exactly how John Motson looks now.

I would say ALL your Disney favourites are on there, but, unfortunately…..

But, don’t panic Olaf Fans. Josh Gad’s doing a cool thing on his twitter where he reads a bedtime story live every night, doing all the voices of all the characters in a way only someone as talented as Josh Gad can accomplish. It’s of course timed for US bedtime, but you can still get the best of them on his twitter timeline when it suits your household, and perhaps achieve those 5 minutes of Mummy Daddy Downtime Josh is hoping to create.

Closer to home, but in a similar vein, perhaps you can build a tale from David Walliams into your home schooling day. He’s reading stories from his new book every day at 11am.

And then at 11.30 on youtube, Oti Mabuse has organised a daily dance class for kids, so you can help them keep moving! Fab idea. Maybe alternate with Joe’s PE Class by Joe Wicks also on youtube daily at 9am.

I’ll be honest, I’m more of an Oti fan.

Still, on the useful stuff – not sure how your cupboards are looking right now, (or even my own – can’t see past the fifteen cases of bog roll, )but, if supplies are running low, check out the wonderful Jack Monroe on twitter @BootstrapCook or search #JackMonroesLockdownLarder. Every day Jack’s recommending what you can do with whatever’s left in there.

OK, enough of the useful stuff – time for the funnies.

How’s working from home working out?

Even worse for my poor pal Lynne!

It’s nothing compared to my week.

If you still haven’t seen it yet, THIS is very much worth a watch.

Please also remember your best pal during these times.

And lastly for today, the news in brief.

Social distancing as practised by the seagulls of Buckie.

And, now, the horoscopes.

That’s it for now – thanks again for reading. I hope it’s having the desired effect.

I set this up to prove laughter can zip around this planet quicker and for longer than anything nasty out to get us, and as part of that, if you record anything funny, I’d love for you to share it with us. You can WhatsApp me through our Facebook Page, DM me on twitter, OR, throw it anywhere on social media #LaughterSpreadsFaster.

I’m looking for you to tell me a joke or funny story, or to share video of your pal falling down the stairs. You know, provided their head’s still facing the right way, and they give you their approval.

You can also reach me through the contact page here.

Keep smiling. Stay safe x
